Jerry White
Jerry White is a doctoral student in Comparative Literature at
the University of Alberta, where he also teaches Film Studies. He has written for
publications in the United States, Canada, Quebec, India, Turkey, Australia, Austria and
Denmark, most of which, he fears, are read by very few people other than his parents and
domestic partner. He is the Ticket Manager of the Telluride Film Festival, a Program
Consultant to the Philadelphia Festival of World Cinema (for whom he worked full time from
1993 to 96), and recently curated a program of Arctic video (that's right, Arctic video)
for the Taos Talking Pictures Festival. Despite his quest for Canadian identity, he
remains a Pirates fan.
